Mrs. Lori Benincasa brings more than two decades of experience in elementary education to her role as Assistant Principal at the Paul F. Doyon Memorial School. With a career rooted in teaching and instructional leadership, she is deeply committed to fostering a supportive, student-centered school culture where every child can thrive.
Before joining Doyon, Mrs. Benincasa served as a classroom teacher across multiple grade levels, from kindergarten through fifth grade. She spent the last several years as a first-grade teacher and team leader at Barrington Elementary School in New Hampshire, where she not only guided young learners but also supported colleagues through collaboration, curriculum work, and professional committees, led professional book studies, and worked alongside district leaders to shape curriculum and assessment practices. Her committee work includes contributing to mission and vision development, shaping teacher evaluation systems, and leading innovative practices in instruction.
Her educational background reflects her passion for lifelong learning. Mrs. Benincasa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Education in Elementary Education from the University of New Hampshire. She earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Competency-Based Education Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University, in partnership with the New Hampshire Learning Initiative. She also holds multiple certifications, including endorsements in elementary education, curriculum administration, and K–12 principal leadership.
Mrs. Benincasa has been recognized for her leadership and dedication, receiving the Director’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Leadership from SNHU-NHLI’s CAGS Program. She is also a published author, contributing to Next Generation Learning Challenges with her article, “Teachers Need to Be 21st Century Ready Too” (2023), where she emphasized the importance of preparing educators to meet the demands of modern learning environments.
At the heart of her work is a belief in relationships—between students, school staff, families, and the community. She approaches each interaction with a warm, growth-focused mindset, encouraging curiosity, resilience, and collaboration, with the ultimate goal to create an environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
