Adam Whitehouse-Mullen is a dedicated educator and school leader with over a decade of experience in general, special, and early childhood education. Currently serving as Principal of the Paul F. Doyon Memorial School, he leads a community of more than 370 students and 70 staff, fostering an environment rooted in care, innovation, and student-centered practices.

Adam’s leadership emphasizes competency-based education, restorative practices, and inclusive supports for diverse learners. He has successfully developed multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), implemented building-wide academic schedules that increase both instructional and planning time, and expanded the use of responsive classroom approaches to strengthen school culture.

Previously, Adam served as Assistant Principal, Department Head, and classroom teacher across grades PreK through 5. His career reflects a commitment to both academic excellence and the social-emotional well-being of students. In recognition of his impact, he was named the 2025 Honorary Principal Member of the Year by Endicott College’s Education Honor Society.

Adam holds an Ed.S. in Leadership and School Administration from Southern New Hampshire University, an M.S.Ed. in Special Education and Autism Spectrum Disorders from the University of New Hampshire, and advanced graduate study at Columbia University Teachers College and Plymouth State University. Adam is currently completing his doctoral degree at Merrimack College. A lifelong learner with multiple active teaching and administrative certifications in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, Adam continues to champion education that places care, equity, and family partnerships at its core.

Adam and his family live locally and are eager to continue to be a part of the Ipswich Public Schools and Paul F. Doyon Memorial School community.
